While prowling the internet for this week’s best dog supplies deals, I found great prices on dog food. Lots of old favorites are on sale and something you may not have tried yet. Coats are on sale, to keep your furry friend warm while he or she takes care of business outdoors, and treats to reward him or her for braving the elements. I also found some great deals on supplies that will help keep things clean and tidy.

If you feed your furry family member Purina dog food, head over to Amazon. They are offering an additional 15% off on top of already low prices. This 15%-off coupon is only good on some of the Purina products being sold by Amazon. It cannot be used on food for sale by third party sellers.

Purina Focus canned food is one of the Purina dog food products that you can use the 15%-off coupon on. Sale prices and the 15%-off coupon are not applicable for all of the Focus canned foods, but I’m sure your dog will like at least one of the flavors that are on sale.

• Focus Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Entrée Classic is only $14.79 for 12, 13-ounce cans. Figure in the additional 15% off coupon and it’s only $12.57 per case. That’s only about $1 per can. This formula contains salmon, rice, fish and potato protein.

• Puppy Chicken & Rice Entrée Classic is on sale for the same price and you can use the 15%-off coupon.

• The Large Breed Beef & Rice Chunks in Gravy formula is even cheaper at only $14.45 per case. There is no coupon available for this flavor but this is still a good price.

Rachael Ray Nutrish dry dog foods can be bought for a good price at Amazon this week. I’ve never tried this food, or even given it a second look, what with being a confirmed Diamond food feeder, but this looks like a decent food. I like to drizzle about 1 teaspoon of olive oil over my dog’s food for all its wonderful benefits, but the olive oil is already in this food. If your dog isn’t doing well on his or her current diet, you might want to give this a try.

• A 28-pound bag of the Chicken & Vegetable Recipe is only $29.52. The first three ingredients in this food are chicken, chicken meal and ground rice. It also contains peas and carrots.

• A 28-pound bag of the Beef & Rice formula is also only $29.52. The first four ingredients are beef, chicken meal, ground rice and brown rice.

• The 14-pound bag of Lamb & Rice formula is $16.98. This is a great food for dogs with sensitive digestive systems and skin problems or allergies. The first three ingredients are lamb meal, brown rice and ground rice. This formula does not contain olive oil, though.

Dog.com has some excellent deals on dog supplies this week. Prices on most items are 25% off and orders over $69 are shipped for free. They have a long list of clearance items that are more than 25% off, though, including coats and treats.

• The Petrageous Boston Parka Dog Coat is only $9.49. This coat usually sells for $18.99. It is fleece lined to keep the dog warm in cold weather and has a waterproof outer shell for rainy days. Unfortunately, they only have it in black and only in large. This size is recommended for 35- to 65-pound dogs with an 18- to 21-inch long back and 26-inch girth.

• The Petrageous Brunswick Puffer Dog Coat is half off at $7.99. Unfortunately, the size is limited on this one, too, but it is available in green, red or blue. The medium size, which is all it is available in at the moment, fits dogs that are 14 to 17 inches long with a 22-inch girth that weigh between 20 and 35 pounds. This is a nice fleece lined coat with a waterproof outer shell.

• The Guardian Gear Deluxe Dog Life Preserver is on sale for 67% to 74% off. Prices range from $8.03 for the XXS (regularly $29.99) to $12.06 (regularly $39.99). I know, you wouldn’t usually think about your dog being out on the water this time of year but this deal is too good to pass up. If your dog likes to swim or go boating with you, snap this up. It has a floating head rest that holds the dog’s head up out of the water if he or she gets tired.

• Isle of Dogs Guilt-Free Nutri-stix dog treats are on sale for $2.99 for a 7-ounce package. That is a savings of 67%. These are healthy chew snacks that are made with lots of good stuff like pork liver, pea flower, sweet potato powder, pumpkin powder and kelp powder.

• SmartFillets Vegetable and Chicken dog chews are only $2.62 for a package of 10. That is more than half off the regular price of $5.59. The package of 30 is only $7.82.

They ship all orders for free and make a donation of 1 pound of food for homeless pets with every order. Unfortunately, a lot of these sale prices are only good through the end of the day Tuesday, January 19, so you will have to be quick.

• The Pet Park Deluxe Indoor Bathroom System is on sale for only $38.00 through Thursday, January 21. This item usually sells for $80.99. This is a great doggy “litter box” that is especially useful when the weather is bad or if you and your furry friend live in a high-rise apartment. The top is covered with a grass-like mat and the urine is caught in a slide-out tray underneath. It is only 25” by 20” so it may not work well for large dogs, unless they have really good aim, but it is plenty roomy for smaller dogs.

• Pet Head Orange Microfiber Dog Shamy is only $11.00. These dry dogs off more quickly than regular towels. This is one of the deals that lasts only through Tuesday.
