These waste bags are made from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), a water soluble alternative to regular plastic. Flush Puppies are specifically made to be flushed down the toilet along with your pet’s waste. They are also Certified Compostable in industrial compost facilities that accept pet waste.

The bags are safe for sewer systems and generally safe for septic systems as well. However, some septic systems are not very good at breaking down organic matter. The company advises that customers that have been discouraged from flushing wet wipes in their septic system, should not flush Flush Puppies either.
