A miracle happened to a family just before Christmas. The Marks family thought they’d never see their dog again after he went missing when they were vacationing in the Pioche Hills in southeastern Nevada. Willie, an 11-year-old Shetland Sheepdog, has been missing for 6 long years.

While they were up in the mountains, Willie and his brother chased a rabbit. Willie’s brother returned later, but Willie never came back. David and Alison Marks searched for him all weekend despite the snowstorm. But he was nowhere to be found. They even put up flyers of their missing dog, but nobody contacted them.

However, just two weeks ago, the family got a surprise call from an animal shelter in Elko, Nevada saying that they’ve found Willie. They picked up a stray dog, checked him for a microchip, and found out that the dog was Marks family’s missing dog.
