On Sunday, February 21, Cesar Millan PACK Project rolled out its Mutt Medics mobile spay and neuter clinic for the first time, dropping in at Stearns Champion Park in Long Beach California to launch this exciting new program with a free spay and neutering clinic.

Free and low-cost spay and neutering services

Mutt Medics is designed to provide free and low-cost spay and neutering services to under-served people in Southern California, and it also brings so much more. It provides vaccines, microchipping, dental care including cleaning and extractions, diagnostic testing, and general health check-ups to people who could not otherwise afford them.

While you may have heard of many low-cost spay and neuter services, what you don’t hear about are the thousands of pets that are turned away because they have an underlying medical condition that makes them ineligible for surgery. Faced with an additional expense — which may not be so low-cost — too many people opt to not have their pets fixed, contributing to the overpopulation problem.

That’s why the other goal of the Mutt Medics program is to provide free or low-cost treatment for these conditions to pave the way for a pet to then be spayed or neutered. This includes providing treatments for skin, ear, urinary tract, and tooth infections- internal and external parasite infestations- and addressing other health problems.

Events are scheduled throughout March, with many more to come, and you are invited to join Cesar`s PACK as either a donor or participant. Working together, we can help reduce pet overpopulation and help pet lovers avoid the difficult decision of having to put off needed treatment because of the expense involved.

Together, we can remove barriers to care, reduce suffering, and keep the PACK Project on the road, saving lives!
