Of course, there are no home remedies that will cure dog cancer. However, there are many things owners of cancer diagnosed dogs may do at   home to help their dogs. Fatty acids are very   beneficial to dogs with cancer. As stinky as they are, dogs seem to enjoy them   and will eat them with no problem. Opening a capsule or more depending on your   the dog’s weight and releasing the oil on the dog’s food will ensure your dog   will get it’s daily supplement. Fatty acids provide energy while possibly even   reducing the growth of the tumor. Consult with your vet for dosage information   and before using this treatment in dogs prone to pancreatitis. Salmon oil seems to be one of   the best.

• Budwig Diet

It is worth to try this diet   created by Johanna Budwig consisting   of organic flax seed oil mixed with cottage cheese given for at least 3 months.   Some owners report to notice good improvements with a decrease in size of the   tumor. Owners must use caution when feeding excessive fats to dogs prone to   pancreatitis. It is best to consult   with a vet first. The average dosage is 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil mixed in   half a cup of cottage cheese divided in three dosages given during the day for   at least 3 months. Consult with your vet for more accurate dosing.

• Vitamins and Minerals

Cancer affected dogs may require supplementation of vitamins and minerals.   The most beneficial are as follows:

– Vitamin A
– Vitamin C

– Vitamin E
– Selenium
– Iron

• Entice Dog to Eat 

Many dogs may refuse to eat at some point. Warming up their food  may cause   the food to release aromas, making it more appealing to the dog.

• Immune Boosters 

There are several immune   booster products developed for dogs that helps strengthen their immune system.   Even though these may not cure a dog from cancer, there are testimonies from   owners reporting their dogs have benefited from their use.

• Ask About N/D  

If feeding a dog raw or a grain free food appears difficult, Hill’s has   produced a diet specifically for dog’s with cancer.
