`Leader of the pack` episode 10: too much mojo

Mojo is just a giant puppy without boundaries or limitations, but this German shepherd’s size and frustration lead him to destroying everything when he’s left alone, and he’s become aggressive toward other dogs. Cesar will have to teach Mojo how to behave before he can determine who should be his new Leader of the Pack.

Placed in a home one month after arriving at the shelter in Holland as a stray, Mojo was soon returned because he was too hard to handle, so his caretakers, Amanda and Erik, have asked for help. Cesar evaluates Mojo, and determines that he isn’t aggressive — he’s just energetic and bored. Time for an energy draining rollerblading session before Cesar moves on to finding Mojo’s new home.

Back in Miraflores, we meet the candidates. First up are Epke and Sebastian, a young couple who has never had a dog, but Epke is studying to become an animal behaviorist and really wants to add a dog to their family. There’s only one problem — Sebastian is afraid of big dogs — so Cesar has him face his fears by going in to meet Mojo first. Sebastian enters the kennel alone. How will he and Mojo deal with each other?

The next candidates are mother and daughter Annie and Sandra, who already have a cat and a nine year old dog, Rico, who is a rescue dog from Spain. Daughter Sandra, is a zookeeper and used to handling big predators, but mother Anne tends to spoil their pets. Will this combination work for Mojo? The humans seem to do fine, but it’s Rico who appears to have an issue with Mojo. Will this be the deal breaker?

The final candidate is Katrien, who has her own pack of two well-balanced dogs, Bento and Ziggy. Katrien loves dogs, and plans to have a pack of five some day. After her dogs meet Mojo through the fence, it’s time for Katrien to enter the kennel, but will the pup’s energy be too much for her to handle?
