Timber When Timber, a one-year old Pit Bull mix was found injured and wandering along a country road, a good samaritan took him to Unleashed Pet Rescue in Mission, Kansas. Unleashed not only saves pets from high-kill shelters, but they work very hard to improve the image of “bully breeds” in their area.

When Unleashed took Timber to the veterinarian, it was discovered that he’d been shot in the head and neck, from less than one foot away, by a shotgun. His body was riddled with buckshot pellets.

And, somehow, despite the heartbreaking act of cruelty that Timber has endured, he’s one of the nicest, friendliest, most loving dogs around. He has no resentment – just keeps on smiling!

Timber’s story is nothing short of a miracle. It’s a miracle he survived. It’s a miracle he was found. It’s a miracle he is alive and well, happy and healthy – and it’s due to the amazing folks at Unleashed. Best of all, Timber now has a loving forever home – with his former foster family!
