It’s no secret that teen pop superstars, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are happily in love. But, the lovebirds are both big animal lovers, too!

Justin Bieber recently teamed up with PETA2 to promote adoption and well-being for dogs. In the video below, the Biebs discusses his dog, Sammie, a Papillon, and encourages his fans to visit their local shelters and adopt. In the PSA, Justin tells fans, “A lot of animals are getting abused in different homes and I think it’s really important that we stay aware about these situations. I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or place where you can get a dog that has been abandoned or doesn’t have a home.”

Justin Bieber’s longtime girlfriend, Selena Gomez recently visited Puerto Rico to lend her time and celebrity to IslandDog.org, an organization that provides homes, medical care, and love to many of the 200,000 homeless dogs wandering the streets of Puerto Rico.

Selena heard about the homeless dogs of Puerto Rico, and called Island Dog to see how she could help. The result of her visit was this “dog-umentary” to raise awareness and support. Selena is currently the proud parent of 5 rescue dogs – Wallace, Chip, Fina, Chaz, and Willie!

It’s no surprise, then, that the lovebirds found each other and share their love for dogs. In fact, the pair reportedly have adopted a husky mix puppy together. According to The Daily Mail,

Selena, 19, and Justin, 17, are now the proud owners of puppy, Baylor. The Disney princess was seen carrying the dog around backstage before her concert in London, Ontario in Canada. They are believed to have adopted the new addition to the family from an animal rescue center in Winnipeg.

However, shortly after the couple adopted the adorable pup, Justin Bieber told Access Hollywood, “We just went to the shelter just to look around. Turns out, she brought one home. It was kind of like she just saw the dog, and it kept going to her… I don’t think the dog really likes me that much.”

Either way, Justin Bieber and “I Love You Like A Love Song” singer, Selena Gomez have a wonderful life ahead of them, filled with puppy love and lots of kisses!
