#8 – Collie

If Lassie is not enough to convince you that the Collie is good with young kids, just go to a local therapy dog group meeting – you will see at least a handful of Collies due to their sweet disposition and affinity toward people. Another plus, they come in a smooth coat if you are not big on grooming.
