Looking for just the right dog to fit your family can be difficult. Especially if you have or are planning on having kids during the dog’s lifetime. It’s a known fact that not all dogs like kids, and it’s one of the main reasons dogs end up at shelters. While all dogs are individuals, there are a few breeds that are more likely to be great with kids and here they are (in no particular order).

#1 – Golden Retriever

The Golden is a no-brainer choice for a family dog if you don’t mind hair. They are sweet and do not seem to mind kids hanging of them. However, for real tiny kids, they can knock them over on accident due to their size and exuberant ways.
