A lot of people are pretty stuck in their “cat person” or “dog person” identities, and it’s not surprising why. Each of these species is so different, but so awesome in their own ways. For instance, some dogs love water while most cats hate it, and cats love sitting in boxes while some dogs will just shred them to pieces. The list goes on (and on and on…).

From meal time to play time, below are 13 instances that show how cats and dogs act totally different from each other. Whether you’re a dog or cat lover (or both!), it’s their silly quirks and special demeanors that make us love them so much!

As long as it’s edible (and sometimes, even if it’s not), dogs will scarf it down in t-minus 2 seconds.
