(WARNING: you are going to need tissues for this one!)
At an age when most girls are trying out sports and dreaming of their first dance, Bella is just struggling to get around.
11-years old and in the fifth grade, she weighs just 43 pounds. At two years old, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease that attacks the bones – there is no cure for her disease.
George is a 131-pound Great Dane. He does for Bella what no one else can – he allows her to get around by herself through the use of his four strong legs and paws.
“He acts smaller than he actually is,” Bella tells ABC News.
Now that she has George, Bella does not need crutches (which her hard for her to use) or a wheelchair to get around. He has given this little girl an amazing gift: independence.
