Despite the fight against these horrific places, puppy mills are still in existence across the country. While so many people continue to purchase puppies from these “breeders,” online or in a pet store, many are fortunately fighting the fight to end these cruel businesses. These people are not breeders at all, they are exploiters of loving animals. This is the story of Lily, one of the many dogs born and raised into the terrible life of a puppy mill. Lily was born missing her lower jaw, was kept caged for 7 years and never even learned how to run. When she was finally rescued and brought into a loving, forever home, her adopter wrote a heart-wrenching letter to the people who kept her imprisoned.
