This Midwest Life Stages crate can be purchased in six different sizes that range from extra small (22”L x 13” W x 16”H) to extra large (48”L x 30”W x 33”H). Dog crate’s metal wires are coated with a satin-black electro-coat finish and they come with an easy-to-clean ABS-plastic pan on the bottom.
All of these kennels usually include a very convenient divider panel that you can use to make the crate smaller for your puppy and then expand it as s/he grows.
Rounded corners of every Midwest dog crate make these new canine homes a lot safer for the pet, and the secure slide-bolt latches ensures that it’s harder for them to get out of and hurt themselves.
Unlike some false taglines, Midwest Life Stages crate is actually designed for security, safety and comfort of your pet.
Every one of them comes ready for the setup with no tools required and can be assembled by absolutely anyone within seconds. It can then be folded down whenever necessary to a somewhat portable size for easier transportation.
Additionally, smart designing of Midwest dog crates allows to include that divider panel thanks to which you just need to select one crate that will be small or large enough for your dog as they are quickly changing in size. That way you get it for the puppy, and it’s still perfect for an adult dog. Due to high durability, most of these crates will last through your dog’s entire life.
Pros
One of the major benefits of this Midwest Life Stages crate is that it has two doors. One on the shorter (front) end and one of the longer end (side). This makes it ideal for many different areas, especially within the house where space is limited. No matter where you put the crate or which way it is going to be facing, there will be a convenient door for you to reach your pal.
As such, this crate – as well as many other ones from Midwest – is a great choice if you have a smaller living area, like an apartment, and don’t have a lot of extra space for a kennel. Double doors also make it easier for dog owners to remove their pets from the crate whenever they refuse to do so. Instead of trying to climb in and pick them up, which I’m sure a lot of us have done before, you can just open both doors and shoo them out one side or the other.
Another great feature of Midwest Life Stages crate is how simple it is to clean. The bars are coated with the electro-coat finish which makes them easy to wipe down, and the bottom tray is made of a black-composite plastic material which you can slide out and wash whenever necessary.
Double sliding latches work well to decrease the chance of your pet escaping from the crate, that way also preventing any dangers of them accidentally hurting themselves.
Affordable! Amazon offers the crate for a nice price starting at $60, which is great considering what you’re getting and comparing with other options on the market. All prices vary slightly depending on the size of the crate though, with the biggest one going up to around $100.
All of Midwest Life Stages dog crates are sturdy and simplistic. There’s nothing that will make you go “Hmmm.” After you receive your purchase, it can be setup within the next minute (including unwrapping). Great value for the price!
Cons
Crate training. Disadvantages of buying any one of Midwest crates for dogs depends on your views towards crate training and confinement. If you have no problem with the practice, then you shouldn’t find any faults with Midwest Life stages crate as well.

Sharp edges. A few customer reviews have also pointed out that their Midwest double-door crates have arrived with sharp edges around the hinges. Please note that this is not normal as most of these crates should have smooth metal wires all around. If that’s the case with yours, do call Amazon or the company and let them know – your crate will be replaced.
Always be very cautious of sharp edges because your dog could get hurt while you are away from home and it could turn into a major problem. Always, always inspect every doghouse you purchase before letting your pet in and never allow them to stay there if there are any sharp edges sticking out!

“Great crate!” (read the full review): “I bought this crate for my 30-lb beagle/terrier mix dog and it’s great. It folds up in a cinch (it’s literally 3 steps and takes about 10 seconds max) and has carry handles on the side, so it’s really easy to transport. I like having the 2 doors so I have options of how I can place the crate in a room. There are latches on the top and bottom of each door so it’s very secure. Great crate!“ 5 out of 5

So is it worth it?
I would certainly recommend this product for any dog owner thinking of crate training!
Not only is it ideal for puppies, but it is also a great option for adult dogs. The choices in sizes are wide and you can find a kennel for any kind of breed. My favorite part of this crate is that it gives you the divider panel option so you don’t have to purchase a new home as your puppy grows.
The durability and strength of this kennel is amazing for the price. They can be more expensive in pet stores, but if you shop around online you can get a great deal. Amazon tends to hold lowest prices on Midwest dog crates, but always remember to look around.
As with any product you buy for your pet, make sure that the crate is safe after you set it up. Check for sharp edges or places where the welding or hinges don’t look safe. This product does come with a warranty as well, so you can exchange it whenever you need to.
Remember that there are always other options for home training your puppy or even adult dog, but if you do decide to go with crate training, then Midwest Life Stages crate for dogs, and this one with double-door in particular, is an excellent choice. You won’t be disappointed.
