Robot dog built by boston dynamics
Video: Introducing SpotMini
Boston Dynamics, a subsidiary of the technology giant Google, has revealed its newest creation- a robot dog named Spot. Google bought out the robotics company back in 2013.
Video: Introducing Spot
Spot was designed for search and rescue missions, but who knows where this technology could lead. He is agile enough to walk, run, and navigate many different terrains despite the fact that he weighs almost 160 pounds.
The robotic dog was built using state-of-the-art technology including a sensor that helps him keep his balance. As the video demonstrates, he doesn’t even loose his balance when he is kicked.

Spot is equipped with an electric motor which powers a series of hydraulics. This innovative technology surely won’t stop here. Who knows what’s next, maybe a robotic cat or even a human?
