When one of these dogs loses both her eyes, the other two react in a shockingly amazing way


When dog owner Jessica noticed one of her three Akita rescues, Kiya, squinting with one eye, she quickly knew something was wrong. Kiya, who suffered from Glaucoma, was losing her vision.

Veterinarians prescribe medications that helped prolong this brave girl’s sight for as long as they could, but eventually, Kiya’s health problems escalated to the point that not only was she completely blind, but both her eyes had to be removed.

Devastated, Jessica wasn’t sure how Kiya would cope with these dramatic changes. Then, something downright amazing happened – Kiya’s brothers, fellow Akitas Kass and Keller, instinctively stepped in to help their struggling sibling.

The video below shows how these dogs knew without hesitating that their pack member needed their help, so they gave it to him, serving as a seeing eye dog of sorts for their blind doggie sibling.
