A glimpse inside the pampered life of the queen’s dogs

Last Thursday Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 90th birthday. And if you know anything about the Queen, you know she loves her dogs and horses. The Queen has long been fancied the Corgi (specifically the Pembroke Welsh Corgi), and also owns two Corgi-Doxie mixes. The dogs are fed on silver platters by the Queen herself.

Their happiness and well-being is a priority for the Queen. When the dogs were fighting a few decades back, she called in a dog psychologist, Dr. Roger Mugford, to bring peace to the canines.

The fighting amongst the dogs seemed to coincide with the Royal Family’s struggles over the ending of Prince Charles’s and Princess Diana’s marriage. It’s possible the dogs were feeding off the emotions of the Royal Family.

That’s just one instance of the pup’s preferential treatment.
