Blogger receives death threats after posting video abusing his dog on facebook

19-year-old Goncalo Carter’s claim to fame is being a “bi blogger” from Lisbon, Portugal. Recently, in an attempt to get a reaction from his audience, he involved his innocent puppy Ruka in a cruel and terrifying stunt: he held the puppy by the scruff of the neck and dangled him out of a high window.
What’s more, this horrendous act of stupidity was followed by a session of tormenting the poor pup. Carter filmed himself handling Ruka far too roughly, repeatedly smacking him, and grabbing him by the neck. In the video, the puppy lets out of yelp. When he’s thrust out the window, he freezes in what must be sheer terror.
After filming this mistreatment and making it public to his 20,000 followers, Carter seemed hurt and shocked that people got so upset.“It was a joke, to test peoples’ reactions,” he said, as well as “I adopted [Ruka] a month ago and I’ve made several videos playing with him,” according to The Sun.

The article also says that Carter was “panicking with death threats he was receiving.” One angry follower even publicly posted his supposed home address and cell phone number.
The Sun also notes that there are petitions circulating in an effort to get justice for Ruka, with over 20,000 signatures–about as many fans as Carter used to have.
Many people posted their disgust, some saying that the blogger deserves to be dangled from a window, himself. It is no wonder that Carter has since deactivated his Facebook account (his Instagram is private).
The Sun reported that someone claimed this was the same teen that posted a video of himself “kicking and stamping on” the carcass of a pigeon back in January.
As far as we know, Ruka is alright. Currently, police are investigating the situation. Hopefully, justice will be served and this sweet baby will be placed into a family that truly loves and cares for him.

Before pulling his Facebook page, Carter supposedly posted these remorseful messages:
“Sorry my four-legged friend.
It’s a shame you can’t talk Ruka so you can tell these people how well I treat you and make sure you don’t want for anything.
I made a stupid video but I don’t deserve to receive death threats because you’re fine and healthier than many other animals out there. I love you Ruka.”

It’s hard to tell if this blogger was sorry that he tortured his puppy, or sorry that he got so much backlash. He did something despicable–that’s for certain–but are death threats going too far?
