Dog helps owner call for help after she falls from a cliff

It’s amazing what dogs can do for us humans. Not only are they faithful friends, they are also our guardian angels, our protectors. And one woman loved and appreciated her dog even more when her dog helped save her after she fell from a cliff.
Dina Wuest was camping with her dog Bonnie. Everything seemed perfect.
But when they went on a hike on the Tararua Ranges in New Zealand, Dina fell from a cliff. The fall broke her leg and she was stranded below. Bonnie on the other hand was still at the top.

Thankfully, Bonnie knew exactly what to do, plus she also had a backpack that contained Dina’s belongings, including her phone. Bonnie went down the cliff to go to Dina.
Dina told The Dodo, “I fell and was facing the cliff so I couldn’t see her, but I heard her making her way down the side of the cliff where it was not so steep. Within about a minute she was by my side.”

Dina got her phone from Bonnie’s backpack and she was able to call for help. It took the rescuers about an hour to arrive. But Bonnie was by her side as they waited for the rescuers to come. Bonnie laid down beside her and stayed with her the whole time.
And when the rescuers came, they were both airlifted to safety.
Thanks to Bonnie, Dina was rescued. I think she deserves a big reward from her mom!
