If you’ve been looking for a top quality dog food that is going to benefit your pet’s overall health and well-being, this is it! This made in the USA dehydrated raw dog food contains whole food nutrition, and freeze dried raw meat is the main ingredient. They use traditional protein sources like beef and chicken, but also offer many options for dogs with food sensitivities that may need a more unique form of protein such as salmon, cod, bison and venison.

I was impressed that this food provides complete and balanced nutrition for all ages. The raw, whole foods offer ancestral feeding for puppies through senior dogs. The feeding guidelines are on the back of the package, and it’s so easy to make this food.

Measure out the food that you need and the water required. Mix the two together and then you have to let it sit so the food can absorb the water. The instructions say to let it stand for 10 minutes, but I found that 30 works much better. After 10 minutes the mixture is still a little runny.

Only Natural Pet recommends mixing the food in the evening and letting it sit over night in the refrigerator. One of the drawbacks to feeding this food is the time it takes to prepare. You’ll have to mix it and let it stand instead of simply dumping some kibble in a bowl.

However, you can mix up four days worth of EasyRaw Dehydrated Dog Food and refrigerate it in a sealed container. This allows you to plan ahead and mix up the food when you have the time. Another thing to note is that the recommended amounts listed on the bag are the daily amounts, and you should split it into at least two servings.

Our dogs both gave this food two paws up in the taste department. We have two very different dogs: a 5 year old rescued boxer who only has a few teeth and is very picky about what she eats and a 6 month old chocolate lab that will eat ANYTHING. Our boxer really enjoys EasyRaw Dehydrated Dog Food, as you can see in my video review. It smells great, and she’s always excited to eat it.

This is one of the healthiest diets that you can feed your Fido, but it comes with a price. Because this food is dehydrated and you mix it with water, a 2-pound bag of dog food will turn into 12 pounds of food. You can pick up a bag this size for about $25. They also offer a 7-pound bag that makes 40 pounds of dog food, and you can purchase a bag that size for about $80.

On the company’s website you can get a better deal by signing up for automatic delivery. If you do decide to switch your pet to this brand of dog food, you can save about $12 per bag on the 7 pound bag – that would save you $120 every year if you only purchase one bag per month!

I know the cost is more than most pet parents are willing to spend on dog food, but don’t let that turn you away. If the price fits in your monthly budget, you may actually end up saving money in the long run. If your dog is healthier, you’ll be spending less on preventative care and vet visits.

Reminder: If you’re thinking about switching your dog’s diet drastically, like from a dry commercial kibble diet to a moist raw food diet, you need to consult your veterinarian first. You’ll also have to gradually change the diet so it doesn’t upset your pet’s stomach.

Summary of Only Natural Pet EasyRaw Dehydrated Dog Food Review

PROS: The health benefits are obviously the biggest advantage to feeding your dog this food. You’re going to see differences on the outside and you’ll notice differences inside your dog’s body as well. His skin and coat will look healthier, and we even noticed an increase in our older dog’s energy level.

Only Natural Pet EasyRaw Dehydrated Dog Food is also easier for your dog to digest and the added vitamins and minerals are going to aid in his digestive health too. We noticed a decrease in the amount of waste our dog’s produced and our boxers’ gas decreased noticeably as well.

As far as raw diets go, this is one of the easiest to prepare. Although it does take longer than dumping kibble in a bowl, 10 minutes every four days is nothing compared to the hours that you’d spend each week preparing a raw diet on your own. It’s palatable to our EXTREMELY picky eater, so I’m guessing most dogs will enjoy the flavor as well.

CONS: Prep time is an issue for some dog owners. We all have busy lives, and some people can’t find 10 minutes every morning to make their dog’s food for the day. Also, the price is a big drawback for many dog-owning families. Most of us are on a budget, and investing in a high end dog food just isn’t an option. Just remember that you’re getting what you pay for, and you may end up saving yourself some money on veterinary care in the future.
