The community heard barking and started digging, three days later they have a breakthrough
Just like most dogs, Brooklyn the Bulldog loves to chase after animals like squirrels, birds, or whatever he finds interesting. But one day, when Brooklyn decided to chase after a wombat, it got him in big trouble–he got stuck down the wombat’s hole for three days.
Brooklyn and his owner, Charles Griffith, live in Victoria Australia. According to the news, the two live in a tent at the Nowra showground, and then Brooklyn slipped through his collar and chased a wombat down to it’s underground maze.
Brooklyn was stuck 7 feet underground in the wombat’s tunnel. Thankfully rescue teams arrive to help rescue the poor dog.
With the use of high-tech cameras and powerful microphones they were able to track Brooklyn underground.
Everything seemed hopeless as the day turned into night. Around 100 people came to help, bringing torches, shovels, and food.
And after spending almost three days, Brooklyn was finally rescued. Watch the video below for the full story!
Thanks to the joint efforts of the rescue team and the rest of the community, Brooklyn was saved and reunited with his owner.
