Toy loving therapy dog chooses a different plushie to snuggle each night

Golden Retrievers are known for their incredibly loving and outgoing personalities. These characteristics paired with their intelligence and desire to please make them excellent therapy dogs.

One such pup is 3-year-old Mojito. Her love for helping humans is rivaled only by her obsession with toys. Ever the gentle diplomat, Mojito refuses to play favorites with just one toy, she makes sure they all feel the love!

According to Mojito’s mom, Kim Downie, there are certainly no shortage of toys to choose from! Along with her insistence on choosing a new item every time they go to the store, Mojito also has a monthly subscription to BarkBox which keeps her rolling in fresh plushies all year long!

Mojito prefers to keep all of her favorite toys upstairs…if Kim moves them, she will bring them back up one by one.

When it’s time to go to bed at night, Mojito will scour the house in search of the perfect snuggle buddy to snooze with that evening. It changes every night!

Sometimes it’s the hedgehog…

Or the scary shark…

Other times it’s the wedge of cheese…

Or whatever this green thing is…

The camo hedgehog is a welcome change from time to time…

Or, of course, the tropical board short hedgehog…

Downie told The Dodo:

“She is very specific about what she chooses to take to bed. She will search the house and empty her toy boxes until she finds whatever one she is looking for.”

When she’s feeling magical, she’ll choose the pink unicorn…

Then there’s the mini hedgehog – this girl sure loves hedgehogs!

And, we can’t forget the giant floppy duck.

She even has a plushie bearing her own likeness!

Regardless of which toy wins out, Mojito is sure to give it her full attention until morning comes and it’s time to play with all of her stuffed friends again!

Generous to a fault, Mojito is happy to share her stash with her feline friend, Vader… whether Vader likes it or not!
