Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Jeremy Zuttah and his now-wife Heran Haile adopted the four-legged love of their lives almost a decade ago, when the couple were students at Rutgers.

Naturally, when the pair, both dog lovers, pit bull advocates, and supporters of the ‘adopt, don’t shop’ movement finally tied the knot, having their pit bull, Ace, by their side was a non-negotiable.

When they discovered just before the Big Day that Ace wouldn’t be allowed to attend their scheduled City Hall wedding, a last minute venue change was in order.

With little time to spare, the couple moved their wedding to a gym that was more than happy to accommodate the couples’ furriest family member.

Thanks to a dog-friendly venue, the wedding of their dreams went off without a hitch.

In the end, the wedding was a wonderful night, made even more perfect by Ace happily strutting down the aisle in his custom-fitted tuxedo:
