11 Bach Pet Rescue Remedy

1Travel anxiety is very common with pets. New situations, like riding a on an airplane or a bus, and new places can cause your dog’s anxiety level to skyrocket. Bach Pet Rescue Remedy is a lifesaver if your dog is challenged by fear, anxiety or even over excitement.

This product is also used for other emotions your dog may exhibit like, depression, anger and even jealousy. It comes in drops so it is easy to apply in her water or directly into her mouth to absorb into her system faster. The original formula has been used on animals for over 80 years and is completely safe for all pets.

Bach’s Pet Rescue Remedy is made with natural herbal extracts and is 100% alcohol free. The solution brings about an almost immediate calming effect. This product isn’t just effective for animals with issues traveling either. It works for separation anxiety, anxiety about the vet, and for pets that just tend to be more restless than others. This natural supplement even works on humans.

22 Bergan Pet Comfort Carrier Soft-Sided Pet Carrier

2The Bergan Comfort Carrier is ideal for dogs that are light and small enough to be carried around. These are very stylish and they offer great ventilation for your dog. You can put her in it securely and then buckle the entire carrier into the car using the Safety-Belt Loop.

This carrier is airline compliant, meaning most airlines will allow carriers like this one as a carry-on bag, so you can have your dog with you while flying. The carrier also has the added benefit of the Pet Connect that allows you to access her through a small zippered opening. This also prevents her from escaping for any reason if you were to open the door of the carrier. You wouldn’t want to be chasing your little princess up and down the isle of an airplane!

One thing to mention is that the hardware on this carrier is made of plastic. All the zippers are plastic which means they are much easier to break, and some consumers have complained about the plastic D-Ring. Also the hardware connecting the shoulder strap to the bag is plastic, and with all that weight pulling on the strap it may be more apt to break than a carrier with metal hardware.

33 Sunny and Honey Professional Stain and Odor Eliminator

3This product is great to have in case your dog has any accidents, including if she has a tendency to get motion sickness. It is safe to use and actually prevents recurring urine marking from your dog. What I really like about Sunny and Honey Professional Stain and Odor Eliminator is that it is non-toxic and the company does not test on animals.

Sunny and Honey Professional stain remover has a unique Bio-Enzymatic formula that is actually quite amazing. The enzymatic bacteria are activated when sprayed on a problem area. The bacteria eat away at the mess and completely eliminate the stain and odor. Once the stain and odor are gone, the bacteria dry up and disintegrate.

Another great thing about this product is that it can be used on any surface. It works on carpets, hardwood floors, plastic, vinyl, and even leather! You could bring it with you to clean messes in your pet’s kennel, inside your car, or in a hotel room. It’s also safe for children and pets, and, since it doesn’t have any harmful chemicals, it’s safe for the environment too.

44 Kyjen Back Seat Pet Hammock Easy-Fit Seat Cover

4If you travel with your dog in the car a lot you probably have the same problem I do. My dogs love jumping up into the front seat, which distracts me and is dangerous for them. One of the top dog products that you will need while traveling with your pet is the Kyjen Back Seat Pet Hammock.

This pet product creates a barrier between the front seat and the back seat so your dog can’t jump over. The nylon material is soft and comfortable, plus it will keep dog hair and dirt off your seats. The adjustable straps allow it to fit most vehicles, but you should measure your seats to make sure it will fit before you order it.

One downside to this product that many consumers noted was the poor quality of the material that it is made of. There is a thin rubber-like material on the underneath of the hammock which wears quickly and begins to flake. Although it may keep the pet hair off your seats, you could still end up having to clean all those tiny rubber-like bits out of your car.

55 Petoga Couture Expandable/Collapsible Travel Bowls

5Travel bowls are a must whether you’re traveling by plane, train, bus, or car. Your dog is going to need food and water at some point during your travels, and collapsible bowls like this set from Petoga are perfect. There are three bowls in the set and they each have a pop-up design for fast use and easy storage when you’re not using them.

All three bowls are the same size, measuring 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick when expanded. They collapse down to just .5 inch thick, so they are perfect to keep in your pocket or slide into a carry on bag. They can also fit in the accessory pocket of most crates. The only negative is that they aren’t suitable for large dogs. They’d be great for small and medium breeds, but you’d end up having to refill them a couple of times for large and extra large dogs.

The bowls are made from a durable non-porous silicone, so they are dishwasher safe and can stand up to the bumping and banging they are sure to endure throughout your travels. Being made from a durable material also means they are more stable than other similar products and are less likely to tip over.

66 Petmate Airline Travel Kit

6This airline travel kit is very handy to have when travelling by plane. It includes everything you will need- an absorbent, disposable floor pad, food and water cups that can hang from your dog’s crate, a Live Animal sticker, and identification stickers. It has everything you need for air travel convenience.

The food cups are compatible with any wire kennel door and the floor mat can easily be cut to fit any size kennel. One thing that you may not expect when you purchase this is kit is that the floor pad is just a simple puppy pee pad. In the kit description it sounds like it would be better quality, but it is just like any regular pee pads you would buy for house training a new puppy.

Some airlines do provide identification tags and Live Animal stickers, so make sure to check with the airline you’ll be flying with. It may not be worth it to buy the entire kit if they are going to provide you with half of the products in it. However, if they won’t provide anything this kit is certainly worth having and will make your flight, and your dog’s flight, much less stressful.

77 Pet Gear Travel Lite OctaGon Pet Pen with Removable Top

7Depending on your dog’s size and weight, Pet Gear’s playpen is very convenient to have while travelling if you need to keep her in one place. The greatest feature about this product is that the top is removable so it can shade your dog if you are outside in the sun, but you can also leave it open if you’re in a hotel room and want to be able to see her.

This dog playpen is vented on all sides and the front door allows for easy access when opened. Most consumers found it easy to set up and take down, which is an important feature to have on dog products you will need while traveling with your pet. The pen is also equipped with side storage pockets to keep accessories, food, and treats in.

The Travel Lite OctaGon Pet Pen lives up to its name and is very lightweight. That’s great when you have to carry it around while traveling, but if your dog is clever she may figure out that she can tip it over pretty easily. If you purchase this pen you may want to consider having a way to weight it down so there is no chance of your dog escaping.

99 E-Cloth Home and Travel Dog Bed

9Travel beds are a great thing to have whether you’re camping, sleeping in a hotel, or just going for a long trip in the car. E-Cloth dog bed rolls up and has an easy carry style handle and quick release Velcro closures. It only takes minutes to roll up and a few seconds to setup when it’s time for your pet to get some rest.

The base of the bed is durable and waterproof so moisture won’t soak in and make your pet wet and cold. It’s 35 inches long and 23 inches wide. That’s big enough for most small, medium, and large breeds, but if you’ve got an extra large dog, it may not work for her.

The Home and Travel bed from E-Cloth is made of 100% polyester and is machine washable. It’s even guaranteed for up to 100 washes. I’m not sure how you’d track that, but that would be a good question to ask when you purchase this travel bed. The plush padding on top makes it comfortable for your pet, but it may squish down after your dog uses it a few times.

1010 Kurgo Tru-Fit Enhanced Strength Harness

10No matter where or how you’re traveling, you need to be sure that your dog is fitted with a secure harness and that you have a quality leash. The last thing you need to worry about while on vacation or visiting friends and relatives is your dog getting loose and running off. The thing I like about the Tru-Fit harness by Kurgo is that you can use it with a leash while you’re walking your dog, and it can also buckle into the car when it’s time to go for a ride.

This harness has been crash tested, tensile-strength tested, and dynamically tested for safety, and it is compatible with any type of seat belt. It’s also equipped with five different adjustments points to make sure that you can get the perfect fit for your pooch.

The hardware on the Tru-Fit Harness is made out of steel for enhanced strength and safety. It also comes in five sizes from extra-small to extra-large to fit most breeds. Although this is a little more expensive than most other similar products, remember that you get what you pay for. The comfortable fit and added safety benefits of this harness are great, and the versatility of going from walking to buckled in the car in just seconds is an added bonus.
