While combing the internet for some of the best deals on dog supplies to write about this week, I managed to find quite a few of those. I studied and compared many different dog supplies deals available on multiple online dog supply retailer sites, and handpicked what I thought were the best ones.

What I think about this week’s dog product deals overall: this is a great week to stock up on your favorite dog food brands, or maybe even try new dog food for cheaper, fill up the doggy treat pantry and pick up a warm pet coat for your furry friend, all while staying within your budget.

Dog.com is offering some good deals on Diamond dog food this week. This is my personal favorite brand. My dogs all thrived on this food. Even my little cocker spaniel, who developed allergies later in life, did great on this food. She ate the lamb and rice formula. It is easier for dogs to digest.

• Diamond Naturals Beef & Rice formula is on sale for only $30.30 for the 40-pound bag. My big dogs ate this flavor. This size bag ordinarily sells for $40 to $60. It is temporarily out of stock but, if you place your order now, they will send it as soon as they can.

• Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice formula is on sale for only $33.66 for a 40-pound bag. They usually sell it for $48.09.

• Diamond Naturals Large Breed Chicken & Rice is on sale for $34.08 for the 40-pound bag.

• Diamond Naturals Large Breed Lamb & Rice puppy food is only $40.38 for a 40-pound bag. This food ordinarily sells for $57.69 a bag.

• Diamond Naturals Small Breed Chicken & Rice puppy food is on sale for only $24.13 for the 18-pound bag. This size bag usually sells for $32.90.

• Diamond Puppy formula is on sale for $33.38 for the 40-pound bag. This food is not quite as good as the Naturals formula. The first two ingredients are chicken by-product and corn but, if you look a little further down the ingredients list, you’ll see it also contains salmon oil and fish meal along with other ingredients that are good for dogs. Most puppies do just fine on this type of food and it is a little easier on the budget.

• Diamond Maintenance is only $28.20 for the 40-pound bag. It usually sells for $40.29 a bag. Again, this formula is not quite as good as the Naturals but most dogs thrive on it. The first two ingredients are chicken by-product and wheat flour but it also contains rice and fish meal along with other good ingredients.

Dog.com also has some deals on Diamond Naturals Grain Free this week. This is an excellent food for dogs with food allergies or sensitivities.

• Diamond Naturals Grain Free Beef is on sale for $34.69 for the 28-pound bag. This size bag usually sells for $47.16. The first four ingredients in this food are beef, lamb meal, sweet potatoes and peas. It also contains tomatoes, blueberries and raspberries.

• Diamond Naturals Grain Free Fish is also on sale for $34.69. The first four ingredients in this formula are whitefish, fish meal, sweet potatoes and peas. Further down the list you’ll see yucca schidigera extract, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries and other good ingredients.

You’ll find some great deals on Blue Buffalo dog foods at Amazon.com this week. This is a high-end food with lots of good ingredients. At these prices, you may want to stock up or try something new.

• Blue Buffalo Life Protection adult dry food is on sale for just $42.39 for the 30-pound bag plus it ships for free. This size bag is usually $50 to $70. The first four ingredients in this food are deboned lamb, oatmeal, whole ground barley and turkey meal. It also contains whole carrots, whole sweet potatoes and blueberries, just to name a few of the many excellent ingredients.

• Blue Buffalo Life Protection Adult Chicken & Rice formula is on sale for $46.99 for the 30-pound bag. The first two ingredients in this formula are deboned chicken and chicken meal and it contains a long list of veggies and fruits.

• Blue Buffalo Life Protection Healthy Weight adult dog food is on sale for $46.99, too. That’s for the 30-pound bag which usually sells for $65.99. This is a great food for dogs that tend to put on too much weight when they eat other types of food. The first two ingredients are deboned chicken and whole ground brown rice. It also contains fruits and vegetables like the other Life Protection formulas.

• The 30-pound bag of Large Breed Healthy Weight formula is on sale for $42.39. Regular price is about $60.00

• Blue Buffalo Life Protection Large Breed chicken and brown rice is only $48.99 for the 30-pound bag. That’s $15.00 off the regular price.

• Blue Buffalo Life Protection Small Bite chicken and brown rice is also $48.99 for the 30-pound bag which usually sells for $65 to $115 per bag.

• The large breed lamb and rice formula is on sale for $55.99 for the 30-pound bag which usually sells for anywhere from $80 to $125.

Amazon has some good deals on Blue Buffalo Wilderness formulas, too. These are great foods for dogs that like the taste of meats that are not commonly used for dog food.

• Rocky Mountain Grain Free with Bison is $57.99 for the 22-pound bag. That’s half price!

• Rocky Mountain Grain Free with Wild Boar is $59.99 for the 22-pound bag which is more than half off.

• Rocky Mountain Grain Free Red Meat recipe is only $50.99 per 22-pound bag. That is 56% off regular price.

• Rocky Mountain Healthy Weight Grain Free Red Meat is $49.82 per 22-pound bag which is 61% off.

• Rocky Mountain Large Breed Grain Free Red Meat formula is only $47.99 for the 22-pound bag. That is 59% off.

Don’t forget to add some treats to the Amazon shopping list. You will find some great deals on biscuits and chews.

• Milk-Bone Flavor Snacks dog biscuits are only $8.99 for the 7-pound box. That’s 28% off the regular price.

• Pedigree Dentastix Fresh treats for large dogs are on sale for $8.99 for the 28-count package. This item usually sells for $13.99 to $15.99.

For larger dogs, get a 25-pack of the 12-inch bully sticks for only $69.99. It’s a good idea to keep some chews like this on hand at all times to help alleviate boredom, but they are especially good to have during the winter when pooches are cooped up in the house.

• Beef Jerky Sticks by Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. are on sale for $19.97 for a 1-pound package. That’s $10 off the regular price. The chicken jerky sticks are $24.97 and the turkey jerky sticks are $39.99. These jerky treats are 7 to 8 inches long and 1/4-inch thick. They are great for a treat just because or can be broken up into bite size pieces to be used for training treats.

You’ll also find good deals on cold-weather supplies at Amazon this week. Pick up a new coat or two and maybe even some paw protection to make it more pleasant for your furry family member to go outdoors.

• Musher’s Secret natural wax paw protection is on sale for $11.99 for the 2.1-ounce size, which is 20% off. This is a waxy coating that you wipe on your dog’s paws to protect his pads from heat, cold, rough pavement, ice and sidewalk salt. I highly recommend this stuff, especially for dogs with sensitive pads. My big, tough, 95-pound bruiser had incredibly tender toes. His pads would be raw after just a short walk and, before long, they began to crack. Musher’s Secret helped his paws heal within a week then we were right back to regular walks.

• If you have a small dog that needs a little more paw protection, Amazon has a set of Happy Cherry Puppy rubber-soled dog boots on sale for only $3.58. That’s 88% off. You have to hurry on this one, though. They only have one set left. It fits small, 1 1/4-inch by 1-inch paws.

• The Fashion Pet Rainy Days Slicker is great for keeping dogs dry and comfortable on cold, rainy days. Amazon has this yellow raincoat on sale for $9.79 for the medium size, which is 47% off. The small size is $8.62 and the X-small size is $9.72. These are the only sizes they have this in and they are going fast. You’ll need to hurry to take advantage of this deal.

• Cozy Pet Clothes Pet coat is great for cold weather. It is a soft, comfy, pajama-type, pink coat with sleeves and a hood. The whole dog is covered but the coat is open where it needs to be for him or her to potty without making a mess of it. Sale prices range from $4.39 for the XX-large, which is regularly $9.39, to $3.91 for the small. Keep in mind that this coat runs small. You should order it one or even two sizes bigger than you think you’ll need.

• QIYUN.Z is selling a similar pajama-type coat for $0.03 plus $3.99 shipping. No, that is not a typo. It is actually three cents for the XXL. The small size is a whopping $0.08. It comes in brown or gray with a reindeer/snowflake print. Be aware that it runs small, it may take a while to get there and the size chart is in centimeters. An XL fits an 11 1/2-pound Chiweenie and a small fits a 4-pound Yorkie.

• The Zack & Zoey Polyester Nor’easter Dog Blanket can be had this week for a good price. This is a reversible dog coat that has a waterproof outer shell and soft fleece lining. It is available in sizes ranging from XX-Small to XX-Large with prices between $16.58 and $25.99, depending on the size. This dog coat tends to run large and you can’t return it if it doesn’t fit. Once you open the package you must keep it.

There is a good deal to be had on an orthopedic pet bed at Amazon this week, too. The FurHaven NAP Pet Bed Egg-Crate Orthopedic Pet Mattress is 24 to 44% off and shipping is free. It is available in a variety of colors and the cover zips off to be washed in the washing machine.

• The medium size is 20 by 30 inches. It is only $29.44, which is 41% off.
• The large size is 27 by 36 inches. It is being sold for $38.88, which is 44% off.
• The jumbo size is 35 by 44 inches. It is $45.59 which is 24% off.

Chewy.com is offering some great deals on dog food this week, too.

• Purina ONE SmartBlend Lamb & Rice adult dog food is on sale for just $31.19 for the 31-pound bag. That works out to about $1.00 per pound, which is a great price for dog food with lamb and brewer’s rice used for the first two ingredients. This food usually sells for $40 to $50.

• The SmartBlend Chicken & Rice formula is $34.28 for the 31-pound bag which is 20% off the regular price.

• The 31-pound bag of Purina ONE SmartBlend Large Breed adult dog food is also on sale for $31.19. That price is more than $10 off the regular price. The first two ingredients in this food are chicken (that’s real chicken, not chicken meal or chicken by-product) and brewer’s rice.
