Pinta, a border collie who is visually impaired, will be flying on a private jet plane from Billings, Montana, to Montrose, Colorado, to live in her forever home, at last! She was a stray, rescued and was brought to Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in early August.

As you all know, animals with disabilities have a harder time being adopted but thanks to the family who owns a ranch in Colorado that adopted her, Pinta will be given a chance to live a life that she deserves and when she gets to her forever home, she will be with a new friend since her adoptive parents have one dog already.
Owing to her sight issues, it would be difficult for Pinta to travel by land so the only option is to fly and thanks to Pilots ‘n Paws, “a volunteer program through which pilots volunteer their time and planes to transports animals in need”, Pinta will be flying in style!

It takes a lot of coordination and people in different organizations to send dogs like Pinta to their forever homes so I am truly grateful for rescue outfits like Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, who go out of their way to help rescued dogs. Share this and let’s continue to support our local rescue organization!
