Actor Chris Evans is best known for playing superheroes, Captain America and The Human Torch. This week he and his dog Dodger joined fellow pooch loving celebs in showing support for military veterans suffering with PTSD. The result is the biggest trend to sweep social media since the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The “22 Pushup Challenge” was created by the charitable organization, 22Kill. It calls for supporters to do push-ups – whether they be military style, assisted, or simply “air” pushups – in order to raise awareness of the epidemic of suicide and PTSD among our troops. A 2013 study gave the movement its name, finding that an average of 22 veterans per day lose their lives to suicide.
Chris Pratt, star of Jurassic World has received credit for starting the celebrity pushup trend after he was challenged by a fan. Although his video is sadly dogless, it does feature his famously funny wife, Anna Faris. Pratt called out Law & Order: Criminal Intent star, Vincent D’Onofrio to take the challenge.
D’Onofrio’s two canine cuties, Happy and Beau encouraged their dad with enthusiastic tail wags in his Twitter video.
John Krasinski joined the trend of sweating with his pooch after also receiving a challenge from fellow prime time actor turned movie star, Chris Pratt. Krasinski’s regal Lab Mix, Finn lay at his master’s side as he impressively pumped out his 22 push-ups.

Super-buff celeb and doting pup parent, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a video to Instagram of his French Bulldog adorably licking his bald head as he performed the challenge.
Hollywood hottie, Chris Evans has received the most attention for his doggy dominated video – probably due to the fact that his caring canine, Dodger seems determined to make Chris lose count. If you didn’t think Chris could get any cuter, get this: Dodger is a rescue mutt! Swoon!

The goal is to reach 22 million pushups and spread the message to everyone suffering with PTSD that they are not alone. No matter your age, health or fitness level, you too can participate in the challenge. Visit 22kill.com/22-honor-pushups/ to find out how you can support this worthy cause.
