We want to be earth-friendly as much as we can, so we try to avoid and decrease the use of plastics. Plastic is non-biodegradable, meaning that they don’t decompose. So if we use plastic and we don’t recycle them, plastic waste will just pile up and fill up landfills. And in the hands of irresponsible people, plastic wastes are thrown anywhere, which end up polluting our oceans and our environment.

But plastic is not that bad. When they are used, reused and recycled properly, they can be made into great things that can help people and animals. One example is the puppy in the video below.

Plastics Make It Possible–a website created to give people the most recent and compelling innovations made from plastic featured this video of a puppy who got a plastic prosthetic paw.

Hudson became a therapy dog, comforting and cheering up everyone he meets. A big thank you to his owner Richard Nash, for giving this gentle sweetheart a loving home. And big thanks to Animal Orthotist, Derrick Campana of Animal Ortho Care, for Hudson’s plastic prosthetic paws that enabled him to walk, run, and move easily.
