We’ve previously talked about best dog for kids, and which breeds are the safest. After a lot of research, here’s a subjective opinion of top 10 cute dog breeds you will love.

Dogs are one of the most entertaining and lovable pets that you can have, and each one has their own personality. Even though most of us have a soft spot for a particular breed, it’s hard to resist any adorable dog, especially when we see them play, run around, or climb dog steps and such.

All dogs are delightful when they are greeting you at the door with their happy wagging tails and their sloppy kisses, but some breeds, like these ten cute dog breeds, are just exceptionally cute no matter what they’re doing.

These lovable fur balls are the classic Chinese “toy dog.” The name Shih Tzu actually means “the lion dog,” and although they are not fierce, their mane is definitely lion-esque. With regular grooming these long haired little dogs can be the most adorable pets ever and certainly deserve to be on the list of top 10 cute dog breeds.

The second nomination of top 10 cute dog breeds goes to another lap dog, the Bichon Frise, originated in Spain who has quickly become one of the most beloved breeds in the world. They have a very refined appearance and a playful, cuddly personality, but are prone to some dog health issues. Love them!

Who could ever say no to a Siberian Husky? The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a Husky is their absolutely stunning eyes and a secure spot on any other top 10 cute dog breeds list out there. Almost hypnotizing, the piercing blue and, sometimes green, of their eyes mixed with their thick fluffy coat and curled up tails creates their adorable appearance.

Known for their affectionate personalities, this breed is gentle and loving. Originally, the Boston Terrier was bred for hunting rats in factories, so without proper training they can develop aggressive behaviors. Their compact size, well-proportioned ears, and scrunched snout make them an adorable addition to any family.

My second dog was a Chow Chow, and I continue to love this breed! From their purple tongues to their mounds of wrinkles, Chow Chows exude cuteness in every way. Their double coat makes them exceptionally fluffy which only adds to their cuteness. One thing to keep in mind about Chows is that they are very high maintenance and tend to be a fairly lazy breed that prefer to sleep on my big barker dog beds. Actually, VERY lazy!

#9 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Better known as the “Cav” or “Cavie,” these popular dogs are one of the most patient and loyal breeds. However, on top of that, they deserve a solid spot on a list of top 10 cute dog breeds among other winners. Their smooth silky coat and big beautiful eyes will convert anyone into a dog lover. Cavies are an excellent family dog and enjoy playing with both children and other animals.

#10 Pomeranian

Boo, “The Cutest Dog in the World” and an immediate sensation on social media, has given Pomeranians quite a boost on the cuteness chart, so there’s no way I can close this top 10 cute dog breeds list without including them. These dogs are small and fuzzy which makes them the ideal pet for people that like to take their pooch everywhere they go. They are easy to train and very intelligent, surprisingly. Pomeranians are an excellent choice for anyone looking for an adorable small breed.
