Comorant, a town with merely 1,000 residents, has just voted Duke the Great Pyrenees dog in as mayor…for his third term in a row!
The 9-year-old pup was reportedly given his post by accident. In 2014 only 12 people voted, and the majority penned a write-in: Duke!

The political Great Pyrenees proudly has barking rights as the only dog mayor in America. And according to WDAY 6 News, his approval ratings are quite impressive. (Somehow, this does not surprise us.)
