Two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Boxer, were seen running in the middle of a busy freeway on Saturday near Azuza, California. In an effort to save the dogs from being run over, several motorists stopped and tried to corral the dogs with their cars. Some drivers got out of their own cars and risked their own safety to save the two dogs.
Rochelle Vargas, one of the motorists who stopped to save the dogs, told NBC Los Angeles, “They were just on the freeway, don’t know how they got there. I just had to stop and save them.”
The scene was caught on camera. Check out the video below.

The dogs were exhausted after their run, so they were given water, and then they were brought to the animal shelter.
There are still no details as to where the dogs came from. One of them appears to be wearing a collar, but there’s still no information whether they had microchips.
