Video: Armed Customer Stops Armed Robber in Wisconsin
Long Island resident, Justin Becker, 32, was just relaxing at home with his pitbull, Kilo, last Saturday when an armed gunman posing as a FedEx delivery man forced his way into their apartment.
Becker shoved the fake delivery man to the floor and tried to shut the apartment door when Kilo tried to help. Kilo, a 12-year old pitbull, put his face through the door trying to protect his owner. That’s when the gunman shot him in the head.
As reported in the New York Post, “My dog stuck his head out the door, and then [the thug] shot him in the head,” Becker said. After the shot was fired, the robber took off running. Becker immediately picked up his beloved pup and rushed him to the hospital where x-rays showed the bullet entered his head, but didn’t penetrate his skull.
The bullet amazingly ricocheted off Kilo’s skull and exited through his neck — sparing the dog from certain death.

“This is like, one in a million,” said Dr. Greg Panarello, whose veterinary clinic operated on Kilo. “He’s very lucky.”
The gunman remains free, but Kilo is back at home, recovering and resting from the ordeal.

It’s stories like this one that remind us how heroic our dogs can be. Without fear, they will do anything to protect us and only expect our love and care in return. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Kilo!
