What is a puggle?

While these dogs have not been recognized as a breed by the American Kennel Club, this has not stopped breeders and owners from already giving the little Puggles a nickname: the “miniature mastiff”. This affectionate nickname has been derived from the fact the Puggle has longer legs than a Pug, the wrinkles around the face of a Pug, and the usual color combinations of a Beagle. The muzzle is black, while the body colors are various browns and blacks. In short they have the appearance of a small mastiff. Sounds like a pretty cool looking dog if you ask me!
So what in the doggy world is a Puggle? It is the perfect small dog for many people who enjoy owning dogs, but are not willing or able to put up with many of the additional responsibilities that come with owning a much larger dog. Weighing in at twelve to fifteen pounds and growing to a height of about fifteen inches, the Puggle makes a great smaller dog.
Now that we have an answer to the question of what a Puggle is, I hope your interest has been piqued about this designer dog.
