These dogs spent their entire lives in a testing lab until now… they are free!

A lot of times, consumers like the idea of ‘ignorance is bliss’ when it comes to what’s in the products they purchase. But for animal lovers, it’s our responsibility to get educated on the reality of things, which, unfortunately, is that millions of animals are tested upon every year. These animals are confined and unprotected against the sometimes dangerous ingredients they are exposed to. It’s not pretty stuff, but it’s happening, so we have to confront it.

While a lot of these animals don’t survive the process of being used in this way, some are lucky enough to be rescued. When that happens, there’s still a lot of work to be done to ensure they live healthy, happy lives. See, most of them have never been outside the laboratory to which they were confined – so horrendous.

In the video below, we watch as several animals, all of whom had previously been tested upon, experience freedom for the first time. In particular, three cautious Beagles, who had never been outside before, experience what it feels like to run and play in the grass on a sunny day for the first time. A truly beautiful moment to witness.

You can just see the pure joy slowly develop on these animals’ faces as they realize they are safe now! Living up to this moment with no sense of trust in humans means embracing their freedom might be easier said than done, but it’s amazing to see them slowly make that transition.
