1 of 9: Handsome Dan
This beautiful boy was adopted by a family who now has a little girl. While skittish at first, Handsome Dan has learned to trust humans again and it a fantastic family member. Amazingly, he has a Facebook fan page with over 400,000 fans!
2 of 9: Cherry
Cherry got rough start in life, but he was adopted by a loving family that now include a couple of kids, 2 cats, and a sister pup. You can follow his Facebook page here.
3 of 9: Georgia
In Loving Memory! Sadly, Georgia passed away last year, but not without leaving her adopter Amy with many unforgetable memories. Her favorite thing in the world was to snuggle! RIP, sweet angel!

4 of 9: Halle
Though she was trained to fight, her adopter Traci says one of the most remarkable things about her is her LOVE for other dogs! Take that Mr. Vick! :). You can learn more about her here.
5 of 9: Little Red
Sadly, little red was used as a bait dog in Michael Vick’s fighting ring. These days though, she enjoys roaming around her 6 acre farm :). Read her full story here.

6 of 9: Oliver
In Loving Memory – While Oliver’s first evaluation after being rescued stated that he was very fearful of people (and who could blame him), his adoptive mom Erika found that he actually LOVED people! He loved nothing more than to climb in her lap and give her kisses! How fitting it was then, that he was able to spend his last moments in Erika’s arms. He died of cancer in 2009. RIP sweet buddy! (Oliver is the pup on the right below)
7 of 9: Squeaker
Squeaker’s adoptive parent was surprised to find how peacefully she fit into a pack of 6 dogs. Just goes to show it’s humans who create fighting dogs, it’s not the their nature at all! Learn more about her here.
8 of 9: Mel
Mel’s favorite thing in the world is to go for a car ride! I can just picture him, head out the window, in absolute heaven! His past forgotten, only a bright future ahead! Read his full story here.
9 of 9: Oscar
Oscar is a total couch potato! His adoptive mom Rachel says he has the most magical tail wag that tells her without a doubt that he’s now happy. Such a beautiful ending to a horrible beginning!
