A pit bull won the hearts of animal lovers around the country when photos of the loyal dog showed her refusing to leave her injured owner’s side after fire broke out in the home.
Despite her loyalty and heroism, Precious the Pit Bull was confiscated from her family due to breed specific legislation in Prince George’s County, Maryland that made it illegal for her and her puppy, Molly, to reside there.
Precious and Molly were taken to a county shelter where their fate remained unknown.
