Katharine Lemansky was charged with one count of Class 1 Misdemeanor Cruelty to Animals. If convicted, the charge carries a fine and up to 150 days in jail.
Lemansky appeared before a judge in Wake County Court on December 14, 2015, where she was assigned a public defender. She is still awaiting trial. Lemansky’s dogs remain in her care.
