From rags to riches: abandoned dog adopted by a celebrity is now living the good life!

For Harrison the Pomeranian, the New Year brought him a happy new life.

The day after Christmas, Harrison, a four-year-old Pomeranian, was surrendered by his previous family to the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA). His family left the country without him.

Poor little Harrison has Alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. He also has a deformed ear caused by a healed Hematoma. But those imperfections doesn’t make Harrison any less cuter. Just look at how beautiful he is:

SSPCA Staff member Sarah Varanini was determined to find a new home for Harrison. She recalled that reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump also has a Pomeranian with Alopecia.

Sarah posted the photo on Facebook and Twitter. She mentioned Lisa Vanderpump on her posts. Amazingly, Lisa responded to their post!

Lisa agreed to pickup Harrison in Kingsburg, California, a town three hours away from Los Angeles. Lisa fell in love with Harrison, who has the same condition as her Giggy. So she quickly drove to the town to meet with the staff of SSPCA.

And now, Harrison has a new home, a new family, and a new nickname–Prince Harry! And the nickname definitely suits him, cos he’s living like royalty in his new home!

Prince Harry is so lucky to have found such a loving mom who has given him everything! And to add to that, he even gets to meet other celebrities!

All that happened to Harrison before, it’s all in the past. This is his new life now. And he is definitely living the good life!

We are so happy for you, Harrison!

A big thank you to the staff of SSPCA for doing everything they could to find Harrison a home. And many thanks to Lisa Vanderpump for adopting this beautiful baby!
