Homeless dog gets rescued, now watch her learn how to play with toys for the first time

Howl of a Dog, an organization located in Romania, is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing abandoned animals and nurturing them back to health. On their way back from bringing a rescued dog to her adoptive family, the Howl of a Dog rescuers chanced upon Maya, a stray dog on a roadside parking lot. Lying on her on her side, weak, helpless and thirsty, Maya could barely move because of the scorching heat of the sun. The unbearably hot weather was literally and figuratively a killer for a stray dog like Maya.

They discovered that Maya is an extremely friendly dog, and she welcomed her rescuers with a lick and a smile as soon as one caressed her. She wasn’t scared at all and didn’t run away, as many strays have a tendency to do. Since her rescue, Maya has blossomed. She has become more confident and enjoys running, bonding and mingling with the other rescued dogs. She has learned how to play with toys unlike the first time she was given them – she didn’t know how to play with them at all. But when it comes to toys, everyone’s a quick learner!

Howl of a Dog normally rescues dogs who have very little chances of getting adopted because they are old, blind, abused, traumatized or injured. What people do not realize is that these dogs are the most loyal and loving pets they will ever have, just like Maya who has so much love to give and who enjoys lots of cuddles.
